How does it work for students?

We exist because we know first-hand the challenges you’re facing or will be facing soon. Please follow the instructions below to guide you through all the steps. If you have any questions, please contact help@costsbeyondtuition.org.

IMPORTANT: Fields with an asterisk (*) are required, but ONLY your First Name, Last Name, Major, College, and Bio are displayed in your public profile.

Step 1. Register
Wait for a confirmation email for Step 2.

Step 2. Profile and Bio
Answer all required fields and write your bio.

Step 3. Requirement
Upload your semester schedule.

Step 4. Congratulations
Wait for the vetting process to be completed and you will be on your way to requesting the items you need.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why have a profile and bio?

Your profile page is meant for us to confirm your college enrollment and It is also your opportunity to let people know about yourself, your passions, and your goals during and after college.

Why do I need to upload my semester schedule?

Your semester schedule confirms you are currently enrolled in college classes.

How long does the vetting process take?

Vetting your profile and requests take up to one day or less. You receive an email with an updated status.

What happens with the donations of not fully funded requests?

The organization and students’ goal is to get the request funded. Students should share their profile link on social media and with their direct contacts. It will help them reach their goal. However, if a request is partially funded and the student no longer needs the request, the donors will receive an email with a few options.

How long does it take for fully funded requests to be delivered to the students?

All requests get processed the day they are fully funded. Delivery times vary. If the item can be processed and delivered electronically, then delivery should only take one business day. However, if the item requires shipping, delivery can take 3 – 5 business days.
